 June 24, 2008 More Fun With the Talented Mr. BirdI am looking forward to hear Andrew Bird's next record all finished and mixed and mastered. This next batch of songs and recordings may be his best to date! I can't wait until it's done and playing on my stereo! This week I was down in Nashville assisting the prep work for the record to be mixed by Mark Nevers (Lambchop, Will Oldham, Silver Jews and Calexico among many many others) whom Andrew recorded most of the basics with. Playing on the record are Andrew's main collaborators Martin Dosh and Jeremy Ylvisaker with some possible special guest appearances... we shall see what remains after mixing... (UPDATE: Mark your calendars... the LP titled 'Noble Beast' is due out on Fat Possum January 27, 2009.)
