Antique Child's Bell Set

This only has the letter notes (all white keys... no sharps or flats) and is made of bent tin. It seems to be from the 50's or perhaps the early 60's. It was probably made as a child's toy but its sound is very good, very in key. The bent tin has a nice fake wood look to it, in fact it fooled me when I bought it off the internet. I have found such ‘toys’ to be extremely useable with the music I make. Different sizes and woods and metals and thicknesses, etc give very different characteristics and therefore widen the pallet of useable sounds. This bell set is among a whole bunch of chime-y, tingle-y, dingy things that all seem to find their way into a lot of the music made at Mayfair.
