Temple Blocks

I bought this set of vintage clam style temple blocks from my friend Barry who was moving and wanted to get rid of a bunch of stuff. I also scored a box full of old dirty cymbals, most over sixty years old… all small and novelty sounding. I use them a lot for crispy hi-hat sounds and for bowing. It is also nice to put as many as I can on stands and create a sort of non chromatic cymbal marimba. With wide stereo micing it can really add a nice layer of tone and texture. With all the different sizes and thicknesses and conditions, they all sound somewhat unique from each other. Thanks Barry!
