Yamaha CP-20

Here is a nice old keyboard that can bridge the gap of an electric piano and an electric harpsichord. It has a very deep tremolo and nice voicings you can toggle between. It also has a handsome fake wood exterior. The fake wood look was a real desired thing in the 60's and 70's, it seems. Many of my cheaper fun instruments are made of plastic with the fake wood look. It was also the time of those large station wagons with fake wood siding and that cheap fake wood paneling in basements and wreck rooms. My friend Barry once planned to start a band with only instruments with fake wood exteriors. We also joked about having a band called 'the Leslies' in which all instruments were to be played through spinning Leslie speakers. We would play 'Crimson and Clover' and 'Hurdy Gurdy Man' and songs like that. Also, an all Stylophone band called 'Stylophone Council'... And an all drum machine band called 'Drum Machine Circle'. Oh, we have had many many great ideas...
